If you haven’t heard about The Network Series by Katie Cross yet, I regret to inform you that you have been missing out on something wonderful. There are only two books out so far, which are Miss Mabel’s School for Girls and Antebellum Awakening. I have had the pleasure of becoming friends with Katie over the past eight months, and have found her to be not only an awesome writer, but someone who truly believes in her work and wants to help authors who might want to enter the world of indie publishing.

Today, I am excited to share with you the synopsis, cover, and release date for the prequel to The Network Series, Mildred’s Resistance!

Coming July 15, 2015…

Absolute Power Corrupts Even the Best of Friends.

Mildred Graeme is a witch that knows what it’s like to fail. She loathes small talk, struggles with magic, and grew up wretchedly poor. What’s easy for her best friend Evelyn, a wealthy, powerful socialite, is difficult for Mildred.

The two lifelong friends reunite at Chatham Castle where they fight together for the dream of a better world. Mildred wants to save the Network from political elitism, while Evelyn encourages it. When Evelyn gains power and threatens to obliterate the Network, Mildred realizes that she must overcome her fear of failure to save the lives of those she loves, even if it means betraying her best friend.

Mildred’s Resistance is the prequel to The Network Series and a gripping tale of intrigue, betrayal, and unexpected romance that defies all odds to rise above the ghosts of failure.

That cover is my favorite in the series by far, even though both Miss Mabel’s and AA have some of the best covers I have seen. And how awesome does that synopsis sound? Pretty awesome, I think! Mildred was my favorite character in the previous two books in the series, so this book is definitely welcome to make it into my needy hands as soon as possible.

    1. Isn’t it, though? And this prequel couldn’t have come at a better time, in my opinion! I should also note that I made a mistake on the release date. It will be released on July 15th, not June 15th. How embarrassing!

    1. I am so sorry to have gotten your hopes up! Hopefully the wait will be over before we know it. Good news is that Book Three, “The High Priest’s Daughter” *and* Book Four will most likely be out before the end of the year. Katie also has some exciting projects set in the world of Antebellum. Those are going to be very exciting!
